Cover plates

The cover plates (lids, grates) are commonly used to cover goods which - by their nature - require increased protection against mechanical damage or weatherability. Cover plates can be made of 12 to 22 mm thick softwood lumber  or other wooden material (particleboard, plywood), may either contain gaps or be produced as a single board.

Covered goods are generally fastened on a pallette with steel or plastic straps.

The boards are mainly used as disposable packaging for one shipping cycle only and are not intended to stack other pallets.

Boards can be dried to the required moisture or heat treated in accordance with the international ISPM 15 norm and marked with IPPC for export outside the EU.
