About the company

The company of TALPA, spol.s r.o. is located in the rolling countryside at the foothills of the Krkonose Mountains, approximately 10 kilometres to the southeast of the town of Trutnov on the outskirts of the small town of Pilníkov.

The company was established in 1992 and since then it has been specializing in manufacture of pallets and wooden packaging products. Besides standardized pallets (the EUR Pallets and returnable pallets), we manufacture a great variety of atypical or expendable pallets and many other kinds of wooden packaging products.

The company owns new manufacturing premises equipped with advanced machinery such as 2 automatic production lines, 3 automatic crosscut saws, pallet and sawn-wood drier and others. The equipment enables us to manufacture pallets and wooden packaging products in the top quality including the respective drying and heat treatment (IPPC). Custom-made (atypical) wooden pallets are manufactured manually by experienced and skilled employees using pneumatic nailing machines. Our customers are large and medium-sized companies as well as small firms in various industries.

At all stages of the manufacturing process, we apply the quality management system in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO 9001 : 2008 Standard. We have had the Quality Management System Certificate since 2004. This certificate shows clearly that the level of the quality management in our company is really high.

Our products meet the requirements of Council Directive 92/59/EEC of June 29, 1992 on general product safety replaced by Directive 2001/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council applicable as from January 14, 2004.

We are holders of the following Licences:

• for repairs and manufacture of pallets granted by Czech Rails under Production Code Number "127"
• for manufacture of pallets for the chemical industry - CP1 through CP9
• for heat treatment of pallets IPPC "CZ-0356"
